Flowers and Cars is about presence. Through film photography Flowers & Cars immerses you into the “now”. It’s deeper than Flowers & Cars, it’s to remind you of something greater. Something organic. Something divine. It’s to spark the light in you and see the beauty in your surroundings.

Before I go any further I should introduce myself, my name is AJ Lopez. Im a Photographer from the Bay Area but now live in Santa Barbara, CA. My passion for photography throughout the past 5 years made me start to think about what am Im interested in outside of photography and how I could implement it into my style now. Going through my archives there was a theme building, lots flowers and lots cars. Very ironic being that growing up cars was a huge interest of mine from Hot Wheels to The Fast and Furious. Flowers come into my life through my Mom, growing up she was always calling me outside to look at a new flower blooming in her garden. It’s always been a huge bonding time together, still till this day she is calling me showing off the garden.

With all that being said Flowers & Cars was born. The message will always remain presence, these images make you pause and remember the things that truly matter. Life is filled with distractions, you need a reminder to keep you center. Flowers & Cars, art for the people.
